Many families use financial assistance
By the time your child graduates from high school, they will have spent over 16,380 hours in a classroom. Who or what will influence their worldview? What kinds of friendships will they make? Will they learn the same values at school as they are learning at home? Will they be valued and encouraged as a purposeful creation of God?
Taking the time to answer questions like these have led many families to make Christian education a priority for their family. We understand many families are in the difficult position of weighing the benefits of a Christian education for their child with their individual family circumstances. Many families at CCS use financial assistance and have found creative ways to make a Christian education affordable for them.
CCS strives to work with you to make Christian education a reality. Over 70% of our students receive financial assistance.
Here are some examples of how CCS families have made Christian education affordable:
This family manages their tuition payment by spreading it out over 10 months. They chose to put their debit/credit card on file in the school office, which is billed monthly.
This family combines a school-choice voucher and family lifestyle adjustment to pay their children's tuition.
This family applies through FACTS to receive a SGO scholarship, then pays the remaining balance over two payments (August and January).
This family receives a 2% tuition discount by paying in full by August 1st.
This family takes advantage of both the SCRIP program and an SGO scholarship, then pays the remaining balance over 10 months.
What kind of assistance is available?
The State of Indiana is committed to providing all children access to quality educational opportunities. Indiana's Choice Scholarship Program, commonly referred to as the voucher program, provides partial tuition scholarships to eligible Indiana students enrolled at Columbus Christian by September 1. The amount of the scholarship is based on your income and household size, as well as the district where you reside.
The SGO Scholarship (also referred to as Tax Credit Scholarship) is offered to Columbus Christian students through the FACTS application process. These scholarships are made available through private donations designated to Columbus Christian School.
Eligible K-12th grade families receive a minimum $500 scholarship toward their tuition. A student is eligible to apply for the program if they are a member of a household with an annual income of not more than two hundred percent (200%) of the amount required to qualify for the federal free or reduced price lunch program.
SCRIP is a nation-wide fundraising program that offers gift cards from hundreds of participating retailers. The cards are purchased at face-value and a percentage is given back. At CCS, the percentage "kick-back" is split. 50% goes to the school, 50% goes to the purchaser in the form of a future school tuition payment or any school related trip cost. SCRIP cards are sold in the school office.
