When we thought about private school, we thought it was going to be too expensive. We want others to know it’s actually more affordable than people think! CCS asked us to submit our financial information and they were able to give us an estimate of what we would pay each month. Because we wanted this opportunity for our kids, we reprioritized some finances on our end and made it work. We would have come to CCS sooner if we knew we could afford it.

Many families use financial assistance

As you weigh the importance of a Christian education and why it's worth it, think about where you want your kids to be for 7 hours a day and the impact a Biblical worldview will have on them. This is why many CCS families have chosen to make Christian education a priority for their family. Many families at CCS use financial assistance. They have found creative ways to make it affordable for them.

Here are some of the ways CCS families are affording a Christian education:

family a

This family needs to manage the full tuition payment over 10 months so they put a debit or credit card on file in the office.

family b

This family uses a combination of voucher and lifestyle adjustment to pay their tuition.

Family c

This family applies through FACTS and receives SGO scholarships and pays the balance over two payments (August and January).

Family d

This family chooses to receive the 2% discount by paying full tuition by August 1st.

Family e

This family takes advantage of the SCRIP program, SGO and the rest is spread out over 10 months.

CCS strives to work with you to make Christian education a reality. Over 70% of our students receive financial assistance.

Indiana Choice Scholarship (Vouchers)

The State of Indiana is committed to providing all children access to quality educational opportunities. Indiana's Choice Scholarship Program, commonly referred to as the voucher program, provides partial tuition scholarships to eligible Indiana students enrolled at Columbus Christian by September 1. The amount of the scholarship is based on your income and household size, as well as the district where you reside.

SGO Scholarships

The SGO Scholarship (also referred to as Tax Credit Scholarship) is offered to Columbus Christian students through the FACTS application process. These scholarships are made available through private donations designated to Columbus Christian School.

Eligible K-12th grade families receive a minimum $500 scholarship toward their tuition. A student is eligible to apply for the program if they are a member of a household with an annual income of not more than two hundred percent (200%) of the amount required to qualify for the federal free or reduced price lunch program.

Scrip Program

SCRIP is a nation-wide fundraising program that offers gift cards from hundreds of participating retailers. The cards are purchased at face-value and a percentage is given back. At CCS, the percentage "kick-back" is split. 50% goes to the school, 50% goes to the purchaser in the form of a future school tuition payment or any school related trip cost. SCRIP cards are sold in the school office.
