ANTI-BULLYING POLICY

Columbus Christian School prohibits acts of bullying. The school board has determined that a
safe and civil environment in school is necessary for students to learn and achieve high
academic standards. Bullying, like other disruptive or violent behaviors, is conduct that
disrupts both a student’s ability to learn and a school’s ability to educate its students in a safe
and disciplined environment. Since students learn by example, administrators, faculty, staff
and volunteers should demonstrate appropriate behavior; treating others with respect; and
refuse to tolerate harassment, intimidation or bullying. Acts of bullying will not be tolerated
and will be dealt with accordingly. CCS has adopted a Christian character development
curriculum called Friendzy in order to educate students on how to treat others in a Christ-like
manner.
